Debbie: Oh, didn't see you there, boys. Hang on, let me pull myself together. I love coming up here to feel the wind blowing through my intestines. It's a wonderfully freeing sensation.
Foil: Wh-what are you?
Debbie: Dead. Three years ago, I was analyzing a Santeria zombification formula. A crude recipe that formed a nanotech-like enzymatic mix. I managed to synthesize it. But I hadn't considered that it might be unstable. In the explosion I lost my lab, my notes, and a few of my internal organs. But at least the formula was a success. Interesting side effects, though. It turns out that many brain chemicals are fixed at the moment of death. Most zombies die in fear and pain, and become twisted monsters. But I died at the euphoric cusp of scientific discovery. So that made me...permanently blissed-out. As afterlives go, it's not so bad.
